The article examines how performances by the Staff Christmas Choir of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Victoria affected inpatients, outpatients and visitors in 2008. The researchers assessed the responses of oncology inpatients, outpatients and visitors using semi-structured questionnaires during and after choir performances. The researchers found that the choir provided a supportive and uplifting atmosphere for many oncology patients and visitors.
