Abstract
- The article discusses U.S. government mismanagement of the case against would-be Christmas Day 2009 airplane bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab. It notes U.S. President Barack Obama's characterization of Abdulmutallab as an isolated extremist despite available information on his ties to al Qaeda. Abdulmutallab's silence after receiving his Miranda warnings is noted. Other apparent fabrications offered by the Obama administration are discussed.
