Abstract
- The article focuses on a study by W. Yi which discovered that HLA-DO decreased the presentation of self peptides through dendritic cells (DCs) to T cells that limited autoimmune responses. Researchers claimed that the effect of HLA-DO can be explained through changes in central tolerance, peripheral tolerance and regulatory T cells. It concluded that DO mice can be a target for the manipulation of autoimmune responses.
