Abstract

The article offers tips on planning a wedding in the Midwestern U.S. region. With regards to food and drink, most midwesterners are choosing to serve their wedding meals family-style, using platters that are passed around the table. During the reception, most couples hire standard wedding bands or disc jockey (DJ) but they opt for a barbershop quartet or a polka-savvy accordion player during the cocktail hour. Another key to a wedding in the region is the use of wildflowers and wheat by florists.
