Sudan Productive Capacity Recovery Programme – Model Projects Livestock Routes in Blue Nile State.

The article focuses on the livestock routes initiative under the Sudan Productive Capacity Recovery Programme. The initiative seeks to address the issues surrounding livestock migration routes through the reopening livestock corridors on both sides of the Blue Nile River. Under the initiative, stock routes will be demarcated and mapped using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology as well as marker stones and other landmarks. The initiative will also entail the reallocation of land to stock routes and rehabilitation of rural services.
