Abstract
- The article discusses privacy issues facing social networking sites. Google's social networking platform, Buzz, faced criticisms during its launch because it automatically set users to follow the people they frequently e-mailed and chatted with. Other social networking sites often offer applications which they did not develop themselves. According to Randy Abrams of the Essential Security against Evolving Threats (ESET), information made public on these sites can make it easy for cybercriminals to perform social engineering attacks.
