Abstract
- The article discusses a political overview for Central Asia as of the third quarter of 2010. The Kazakh government is expected to increase its hold on the energy industries as it contributes to economic development. The resignation of Kurmanbek Bakiyev in as president of Kyrgyzstan is likely to reduce the risks of political instability and violence in the country.
