Abstract
- The article presents the proposal to amend the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (ICBN) Article 23 by adding examples on the correct usage of Latin compounds. Extension of the Article 23.5 includes Latin compounds used as an adjective, like -fuga and -gena, are correctable error, while word elements, such as -fer, -fera, -ferum are adjectival. Moreover, overviews on the extension of Example 5 on adjectival epithets, Example 6 on names with a noun for an epithet, and Example 8.
