Betrieblicher Fremdsprachenbedarf im deutschsprachigen Raum.

The article presents research results on a study of foreign language qualifications for employees in firms in German-speaking areas in an age of globalization. The overwhelming need for qualifications in English is cited, although requirements vary by corporate branch, size, and regional venue. The need for speakers of French, Spanish, Italian, and Russian is statistically presented as a niche requirement. The author suggests how such second language requirements for business may change in the future.
