Abstract

The article deals with the factors influencing the decision of students to take a veterinary course and looks at ways to increase student participation in such a course in Great Britain. It references a study by Jane Tomlin et al. of the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, England published within the issue. The study found that the desire to work with animals is one factor that motivates students to choose veterinary medicine as a career. The author notes the need to inform the general public about the opportunities offered by a veterinary degree.
