Abstract
- This article presents a response to the paper "Procedural Justice, Strategic Decision Making and the Knowledge Economy," by W.C. Kim and R. Mauborgne. The author focuses on the topic of how to build competitive advantage, which is discussed in Kim and Mauborgne's paper. He says that Kim and Mauborgne measure success in business through the process of how strategic decision making is undertaken. This leads to the building of competitive advantage. He feels that the paper is important because more and more members of management are becoming involved in the process of decision making. The author concludes by agreeing with Kim and Mauborgne regarding procedural justice. They believe not only is increased participation necessary, explanation and expectation management are essential as well.
