- Defines in-and-out conversion as the conversion of a floating-point number in one base into a floating-point number in another base and then reconverted back to a floating-point number in the original base. Truncation and rounding conditions provided by the Base Conversion Theorem; Consideration of mixed in-and-out conversion mappings; Definition of significance spaces and conversion mappings.
