Abstract

The article focuses on the good taste in art which, according to the author, rests on the combination of harmonious colors and on the balanced relations of forms in space. The author also states that color harmony is not an a priori factor, while balanced form relations is recognized a priori. It notes that most people can discover harmonious proportions and balanced position of forms in space even without specialized training. The author stresses that good taste does not depend on tangible equations alone. A question and answer column is presented.
