Abstract
- The article discusses the long usage of test equipment by the military. Among the developments in the test regime of Colonel John Abbott's team in the Ministry of Defence's Defence Equipment and Support organization (DE&S) of Great Britain are the General Purpose Suspension Equipment Test Set which assesses the state of the pylons and attachments that carry missiles on the undersides of aircraft and the Digital Diagnosis and Repair system for the upgrading of equipment. INSET: Testing in for the long haul.
