Abstract

Cd<superscript>2+</superscript> substituted Li–Zn ferrite with compositional formula Li<subscript>0.4-x/2</subscript>Zn<subscript>0.2</subscript>Cd<subscript>x</subscript>Fe<subscript>2.4-x/2</subscript>O<subscript>4</subscript> with x = 0.02, 0.03 and 0.04 were prepared by the conventional double sintering ceramic technique. XRD technique confirmed the formation of single phase with spinel structure. The substitution causes an increase in the lattice constant, density and DC resistivity, while the Curie temperature and dielectric constant decreases with Cd<superscript>2+</superscript> substitution. The mechanisms involved are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
