Abstract

The article reports on the agony encountered by Angola in its fight for independence from Portugal. It notes that some of the bloodiest fights occurred in Malange, while the others fled along the seacoast to Lobito and across South West Africa and South Africa. On the other hand, over half-million black Angolans experience food starvation. As a result, Portugal increased its emergency airlift to six jets daily to deal with the crisis. Moreover, Portugal indicates that Angolan independence will be scheduled regardless of the internal situation.
