Abstract
- The article offers information on the eleven-day trip of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat to U.S in November 1975. It says that President Sadat will present to the U.S. Administration officials the list of what Egypt needs to sustain its economic stability and national defense. It mentions that the reopening of the Suez Canal is expected by Egyptian officials to gain 450 million dollars a year in foreign exchange. It states that President Sadat would request for defensive weapons such as patrol boats for the Mediterranean coastline and the Suez Canal, F-5E jet fighter, and TOW wire-guided antitank missile. It says that the administration of U.S. President Gerald Ford knows that it must work hard for the approval of U.S. Congress on the requests of Egypt.
