Abstract: This section offers news briefs regarding events related to sports as of September 1970. Denny McLain has been suspended for up to one month because of his practical joke on a number of sports writers. Schoolteacher Dominick Piledggi and a number of friends have established the Sports Fans of America to ensure that fans will not be taken advantage of. The College All-Stars football team has been conducting several secret sessions to develop surprises to help them defeat the Kansas City Chiefs.
