The article offers information on musician Sonny Brown, who has been pursuing his music career while serving a sentence at the California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi, California. He was convicted for his heroine habit and stealing a record player and in 1965, was sent to the Tehachapi penitentiary, where he started a prison band and a chorus, called the Fallen Sparrows. He got special permission to perform outside the prison and is now planning to cut a music album.
