Abstract

The article offers information on business spending in the U.S. It mentions that the government hopes for an increase of consumer buying in 1972 to raise economic prosperity however, consumers are spending fairly well that led businessmen to tighten up their money. It also mentions that businessmen are cautious on stocking additional materials and supplies due to large inventories collected in 1970. Moreover, business projects an increase of 9%-10% in equipment and plant pending for the year.
