Abstract

The article focuses on various literature and research about accounting education. First research paper discussed here is titled "Bringing experimental learning to the social sciences: a simulation laboratory or economic development," by Khalid Saeed, which appeared in the journal "Systems Dynamics Review." This specific research explores the possibility of introducing experimental learning into the social science disciplines through the use of custom-built experimental media drawing on the systems dynamics method. Another research "A problem-solving model for analyzing low student performance in technical courses," by D. Sankowsky suggests ways to ameliorate the prevalence of low student problem solving and analytical performance. "Knowledge and the academic accountant: an empirical study" attempts to study the way that academic accountants approach and perceive knowledge. It is an attempt to establish what it is that academic accountants consider is worth knowing about accounting issues. The article also provides a series of Conference diary dates and news about sponsoring an accounting case writing competition.
