Abstract
- The article reports on the move of a majority of white students and newly enrolled blacks to boycott the South Boston High School in Massachusetts. During the a shoving match outside a school's classroom, white student Michael Faith was stabbed and black student James White was arrested. It argues that the school did not provide good education to students, claiming that only 25% of the school's graduating students went on to college. It notes that the school faces various problems including inadequate funding, unavailable basic supplies, smaller library space, and ill-equipped libraries.
