Smoking Cessation and Pharmacists: An Australian Pharmacy Student Perspective.

The author discusses the role of pharmacists on smoking cessation. He agrees that Australians are exposed to advertising campaigns for the cessation of smoking but education on Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) of pharmacists are only learned through the brochures given by drug companies. Also discussed is the role of pharmacists in giving accurate information on smoking cessation and the 2-hour lecture on the subject given within the four-year pharmacy course.
