Abstract
- The article discusses the Preakness Stakes horse race which took place at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland in May 1969. It states that the winner of the event was Majestic Prince, which defeated Arts and Letters. Prince is cited as the only thoroughbred in history to win the first two events of the Triple Crown. Despite these victories, he will not compete at the third event in Belmont, California. According to his trainer, Johnny Longden, and owner, Frank McMahon, Prince needs time to rest and recuperate.
