Abstract

Information about the annual convention of the American Medical Association (AMA) in Manhattan on how to oppose the medicare proposal of U.S. President Lyndon Johnson is presented. It notes on the official position that Government financing of health care for the aged will bring Government control and deterioration in the quality of care. Also discussed in the convention is the issue that doctors would boycott medicare if the Administration's bill is enacted.
