Abstract

The article discusses the difference between the basic approach of Protestants and Catholics to prayer and piety. Presbyterian John Oliver Nelson argues that the difference between the religious bodies are the creeds; a statement of creative assertion and a declaration for Protestant, and a statement of acceptance and assent for Catholic. John Coburn of the Episcopal Theological Seminary cites the difference in spirituality among the religious bodies.
