Abstract

The article reports on the imprisonment of Richard Benjamin Speck for the murder of eight young nurses in an apartment on July 14, 1966 in South Side Chicago, Illinois. It notes that the former mariner Speck used a 0.22 caliber pistol to kill the nurses. Accordingly, Speck was only recognized by cops when he bled himself and was rushed to a hospital. Filipino nurse survivor Corazon Amurao affirmed the killings of Speck. It also mentions the previous crimes of Speck.
