Abstract
- The author talks about baseball spectators and old stadiums. Owner and general manager of the Hollywood Stars baseball team Bob Cobb believes that the whole baseball organization is doing a disservice to its customers. He notes that most ball parks in the U.S. are at least 30 years old. Examples of such venues are Gilmore Field in Hollywood which is dirty and damp, the Memorial Stadium in Baltimore where concrete poles block spectator views, and Forbes Field in Pittsburgh where pigeons roost over the heads of fans.
