Abstract
- The article features sportsman George D. Widener. As the owner and master of the Widener Thorougbreds of the Erdenheim Farm in Chesnut Hill, Pensylvannia and Old Kenney Farm in Lexington, Kentucky, Mister Widener has been chairman of the Jockey Club since 1950 as well as a president of the Belmont Park prior to its merger with the New York Association. He has also been an honorary chairman of this association since 1955. Instructions on how he cooks quail and duck from their South Carolina plantation as elaborated by Mister Widener is presented.
