Abstract
- The article focuses on an explanation provided by Doctor Urner Liddel, chief nuclear physicist for the Office of Naval Research, on the existence of unidentified flying objects. Liddel claims that the flying saucers were actually giant plastic balloons called Skyhooks sent aloft by the U.S. Navy with electronic instruments to record cosmic rays. Liddel also confirmed that an Air Force pilot was killed while pursuing a Skyhook in Kentucky in 1948.
