Abstract

The article examines the potential impact of the United Nations (U.N.) embargo against China. It is suggested that the embargo will have a limited effect on China due to its vast land mass and its self-sustaining peasant economy. The embargo also has flaws in several areas, including transshipment and reexport. A naval blockade was proposed by U.S. General Douglas MacArthur to boost the embargo.
