Abstract

The article focuses on the participation of U.S. presidential candidates Dwight Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson in the 1952 National Plowing Contest held in Dodge County, Minnesota. Eisenhower spoke about the differences he sees between his program and the Democratic practice. Eisenhower wants to implement a new farm law that will give farmers more opportunity to express themselves. Stevenson gave the Democratic Party credit for the advances in U.S. farming.
