Abstract

The article focuses on the flood of illegal immigrants from mainland China to Hongkong. It states that these immigrants have found the slums of Hongkong more tolerable than the communist state of China. It adds that in Hongkong, there are jobs and plenty of food, which often dazzles the refugees. It also states that the U.S. government has endowed Hongkong residents with 28 million dollars worth of food since 1954.
