Abstract
- The article discusses a court case wherein the publishers of the "Guide Gault-Millau" asserted that the pancakes served with the Peking duck in Mr. Chow's Chinese restaurant of Michael Chow were the size of a saucer and thick. After Chow brought his chef into Manhattan, New York City federal district court to demonstrate the technique for making paper-thin pancakes, the jury decided that Chow had been libeled by the publishers. The publishers' appeal to the verdict is discussed.
