Regulation C of HMDA Has Evolved Over Time.

In this article the author discusses the more detailed investigation for lenders which is mandated by federal government agencies under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) in the U.S. He states that HMDA data is not solely the basis for a lawsuit filed the federal government. The author notes that meaningful conclusions regarding the fairness of pricing practices of financial institutions are not fully reached by such investigations.
