Abstract

The article presents a study related to the nuclear transport of murine Foxp3. Foxp3 refers to a 47-kDa transcription factor, which is required for the function of CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs). The study involves the identification of three distinct Foxp3 domains which contribute to nuclear transport. The first domain consists of C-terminal 12 amino acids, while the second one is located immediately N-terminal to the forkhead domain (FHD). The third domain's location is within the N-terminal first 51 amino acids.
