Abstract

The article reports on the advertisement campaign run by the paper mills of Wisconsin about their five pronged research project to reduce stream pollution. It reports on the Wisconsin Sulphite Pulp Manufacturers Research League set up in 1939 by the paper mills as conducting the research. It also reports on the commercial size experimental plant operated by the Lake States Yeast Co. at Rhinelander, Wisconsin which processes sulphite liquor with torula yeast organisms converting them stockfeed.
