Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of the London International Cancer Conference held in England in July 1958. The event was attended by 2,000 scientists who heard several breakthroughs in cancer research. They include the difference between a cancer cell and a normal cell and the need for more oxygen by a cancer cell. Russian delegates noted the existence of natural defenses against cancer in the body.
