Long-term survival following allogeneic or syngeneic stem cell transplant for follicular lymphoma in Sweden.

The article presents a study which examines the long-term survival of patients with follicular lymphoma (FL) in Sweden after allogeneic or syngeneic stem cell transplant. It says adult patients underwent allogeneic transplant associated with an immune-mediated graft-versus-lymphoma effect due to follicular lymphoma. It adds that the graft-versus-leukemia effect is not necessary, but suggests that tumor-free graft is significant for the success of follicular lymphoma transplant.
