Abstract

The article discusses the outlook for the U.S. advertising industry for 1954 as the economy remains at a considered high level. It says that the increase of spending in 1953 demonstrates that the advertising industry has not yet felt the impact of the decline in the retail sales. However, the bulls argue that the relationship between the economy and the industry is changing.
