Abstract

The article discusses a study on the kinetic model of granular sludge sequencing batch reactors (SBR). The field of aerobic wastewater treatment has developed an aerobic granular sledge technology which is based on SBRs in which the fast settling aerobic granules are produced after a cycle of configuration. It is noted that the system is beneficial due to the compactness, lower operational and construction costs as well as lower energy requirement. The study revealed that the model can be a standard for designing treatment plants.
