Abstract

The article focuses on the study that investigates the influence of aluminum (Al) in solid solution on austenite formation during continuous heating. It shows that partitioning of magnesium to austenite takes place during slow heating. It reveals that the heat treated steel contains a mixture of large ferrite grains and relatively fine ferrite grains.
