Abstract
- The article offers information on the performance of the paper industry. It states that International Paper Co. earned 51.6 million dollars in 1949, which is 15 percent less than 1948, however, its sales were 416 million dollars, because it is a big producer of kraft paperboard and newsprint. It mentions that the companies that produced fine paper and magazine paper had problems, because of the fall in magazine lineage and a price cut in magazine paper.
