The article reports on the demands of the railroad workers in the U.S. in 1953. It states that most of claims focused on the increase of wage by about 40 cents per hour and the modification of employee fringe benefits in the industry. However, it notes that there will be no serious strike that will occur in the said year due to the dispute procedure under the Railway Labor Act.
