This section presents abstracts of studies on finance which were published in the March 1965 issue of The Journal of Finance. The paper titled Factors Determining Bank Deposit Growth By State: An Empirical Analysis by Bruce C. Cohen and George G. Kaufman, identifies and measures the relevant structural and economic variables associated with deposit growth by state. The paper titled The Value of Pension Promises--A Major Source of Consumer Wealth Distortion, by Walter Williams, shows the distortion in the size of consumer wealth as reported on the balance sheets of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The paper titled Financial Flows Over Recent Business Cycles, by Sue N. Atkinson, analyzes the direction of the flow of funds accounts among sectors in the U.S.
