Abstract
- The article reports on the opposition of Texas to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) environmental policy on air pollution in the state. Texas officials refused to abide by the policy of the EPA, which made the latter impose a trade-off policy. Director Charles R. Barden of the Texas Air Control Board points out that such trade-off policy will broaden the gap between the state and the EPA. Moreover, Texans provide more scientific facts to their campaign against the EPA's policy.
