Abstract

The article reports that labor disputes in the U.S. involving 750,000 workers in four vital industries in April 1967 for U.S. Congress to consider legislation against strikes. It says that the Congress was prepared to move determinedly May to prevent a nationwide railroad strike on May 3. The Congress finds labor news very ominous and legislative sentiment tends toward toughened laws. Meanwhile, the Congress believes that drastic moves can be rationalized due to the Vietnam war.
