Abstract
- The article focuses on a research study which examined the role of micro-RNA-21 (miR-21) in regulating myofibroblast differentiation induced by transforming growth factor-Β (TGF-Β1). The study demonstrated that the expression of miR-21 was upregulated by miR-21 and downregulated by miR-21 inhibitor. The results of the study suggested that miR-21 plays a role in regulating TGF-Β1-induced myofibroblast differentiation by targeting programmed cell death 4 (PDCD4) in cancer stroma.
