Abstract

The article focuses on the stable prices of old corrugated cartons (OCC) for 2011. It mentions that board mills anticipate the effect of lost generation during winter and spring of 2011 and like to lower its prices. It states that analyst Mark Wilde of Deutsche Bank considers the 2011 earthquake in Japan as a contributor for the increase of OCC prices in West Coast. It adds that China has been very quiet on all grades, holding very firm on prices, despite of the disaster episode in Japan.
