Abstract

An encyclopedia entry for French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte is presented. He was born in August 15, 1769 at Ajaccio in Corsica and the son of a general named Carlo Buonaparte. In 1795, he became sub-lieutenant and was given commission as captain of artillery in February 1792. Details of how he conquered various country when he was the commander-in-chief of the French army, are given, along with his personal life. He died in May 5, 1821 in the Island of St. Helena.
